What kind of a women’s image is rendered on Armenia’s television?

Today on television an image of 25-35 aged tall, with model body, maike-up, hairstyle and wearing colorful bright clothes dominates. As a result of greater focus on appearance a woman’s image is identified with very tidy and well-groomed image thus reinforcing the stereotype that women should always be standard of beauty. Whereas it is necessary to add experet women’s share emphasizing their intellectual ability and achievements.This is evidenced by the results of the research «Women’s image in television. From gender sensitivity to gender stereotypes» represented during a two-day conference entitled « Gender issues in the Contemporary Armenia: from research to politics».
