“Women’s Agenda” is still in force. A message to the newly elected deputies

“Equal” campaign enterprising organizations congratulated the newly-elected MPs, wishing them success in their legislative activity and reminding them that “women’s agenda presented ahead of the parliamentary elections” is still in force. Especially women MPs are expected to be active  for advancing “Women’s Agenda”.

The “Women’s Agenda” was developed within the “Equal” campaign, which is carried out by “OxYGen” Youth and Women’s Rights Foundation in collaboration with `WomenNet.am website and” Family Academy “NGO.

“The text of the women’s agenda” includes a number of questions related to women and men ensuring equal rights and opportunities, evidence of the problems existing in various fields, as well as offering possible solutions. Thus, the agenda is a rich source of information on gender situation in the country for each member of the parliament, who is concerned about these issues. The questions of “Women’s Agenda” are based on the Constitution, the laws adopted within the framework of the concept of gender policies and programs of Armenia’s international obligations, the statistical data on recent studies and surveys conducted in the country.
