Women’s Eurasian Forum: Anna Hakobyan called on her to join the peace campaign
The Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Mrs. Anna Hakobyan participated in the Second Eurasian Forum for Women in Global Security and Sustainable Development, which took place on September 19-21 in St. Petersburg. Speaking at the opening of the conference, she introduced her “Women for Peace” initiative noting that she is not going to limit the initiative only with the Artsakh issue. Armenpress reports that the details of the speech are presented by the Lady of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Mrs. Anna Hakobyan’s office.
Emphasizing the role of the conference in the disclosure and full utilization of women’s potential for global security and development, Anna Hakobyan emphasized that such initiatives are to be used by women to “unite for the sake of values and goals that are important to all women in the world for the sake of solutions that will allow us to live in a more peaceful, more caring and happier environment.”
According to Mrs. Hakobyan, the role of women who are more peaceful, violent, and vulnerable to rejection of violence is invaluable in helping to ease the burden of our planet heavily aggravated by big and small wars, humanitarian disasters, ecological problems and constant incitement of race, to find a way out, to change something. Hakobyan underscored that women should not only say their words, but also speak of the real cause.
The Prime Minister’s spouse summed up the speech with the request of the attendees to express their unconditional support for the Women for Peace campaign, noting that she is not going to limit the initiative only with the Artsakh issue. “My great desire and plan is to expand its geography and to address the world’s hot spots. I rely on your support in making our world a little better, “concluded Anna Hakobyan.
