Ahead of Parliamentary elections 

OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights ahead of the Parliamentary elections to be held on April 2, published the Needs Assessment Mission Report, which was prepared as a result of meetings held from November 30 to December 2 of 2016.

 

“Expecting to get an invitation from the government to carry out an observation mission during the elections held on April 2d of 2017, in accordance with its mandate, the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (OSCE / ODIHR) during the  period from 30 November to December 2 of 2016 conducted Needs Assessment mission. Mission aimed to assess the electoral environment and preparations on the part of the election. Meetings were held in public institutions and with officials responsible for the conduct of elections, as well as political parties, media, civil society and the international community, “the report notes.

 

The report generally represents constitutional, the subsequent legal framework after the amendments to the Electoral Code, election registration of candidates, as well as the participation of women in electoral processes.
