At what extent are children protected in Armenia?
The “Child Protection Code 2016” was presented in Yerevan. It resulted from national, regional and international civil society to work together. Child protection index was conducted in 9 countries: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Kosovo, Armenia, Moldova, Romania, Serbia and Georgia.
“Child Protection Code” -2016 is published in the resulting grid faults of the international organization World Vision and several dozen NGOs, including the protection of children.
Mira Antonyan network president explained that the five components of the index are evaluated by means of the actions taken by government policy and legislation, services, capacity, coordination and accountability. They are fixed by UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
“Our objective was to assess the country commitments under the Convention what progress is being made in order to have the desired system. The issue that is able to register remarkable progress, the spots have gaps “, – Antonyan said.
