I was praying the God for their being silent
“What if…”, the questions that are often given to themselves or to their surroundings by people and friends who have passed through serious trials, always start with these words.
“What would happen if we were not in the building at that time”, “What if more aid reached quickly”, “What if the Western countries, doctors would come to Armenia”, “Maybe my legs would have been saved…”, – Armine Nikoghosyan have been tormented by this question for 28 years, from the day when she lost her children, health and interest in life during the earthquake.
The first two questions no one can answer. And the last question is better in general not to think, advises plastic surgeon Artavazd Sahakyan, – no doctor, no matter from which country could save her feet from amputation after four days of remaining in ruins, and legs were crushed.
