According to Forbes, four of the 10 most prestigious universities are headed by women: Drew Gilpin directs Harvard University, Alison Richard – Cambridge, Susan Hokfild – Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Shirley Tigman – Princeton University
According to The American Council on Education in the U.S. 494 of 2148 universities are headed by women.
According to the National Statistical Service of Armenia, in the 2010-2011 only 3 of the 23 public schools (13%), women hold the post of rector and vice-rector, despite the fact that women make up 48.2% of the faculty of these universities
In Armenia 60% of higher educated people are women.
