Women of Artsakh through the eyes of Italian photographer
“Dreaming of independence and peace
Italian photographer Carl Mancini published photos of women of Artsakh with the title “Dreaming of independence and peace”. In Photo comments photographer of Echo of Photojournalism told about the conflict which has been going on for a quarter of a century, and, in particular, reflected large-scale aggression against Artsakh to Azerbaijan in April 2016.
Carl Mancini told a PanARMENIAN.Net that the reports are important for the women of Artsakh and have a great value because he likes Artsakh. According to him, this is not his first work devoted to Karabakh. Earlier, in collaboration with photographer Zhanmarko Maravilla he presented “Blossomin the black garden” photo project, which was published in Newsweek (US), Internazionale (Italy) and La Croix (France) magazines.
I fell in love at first sight with Yerevan and then with Karabakh. All were very good to me and supported my work from the very first steps”, said the photographer said, noting that there were 87 country reports on various social topics in the last 12 years: violence against women, genocide and persecution of minorities, wars consequences and so on.
