Anna Abazyan. “My nomination is not against men, but for the sake of the community”

The secondary school director in Lernapat community Anna Abazyan is going to change the situation in the community. first to participate in the local elections on October 2d, to be elected and become the council first woman for the community council member as  the community is “owned” only by men. The next step is to implement the main purpose for which she wants to be elected  – to bring changes in the life of the community …

“I’m not even a member of the council, I have a greater involvement in the community life, that is why I decided to run my and have a more substantial participation », – – said Mrs. Abazyan in an interview with WomenNet.

She considers it wrong notion that women do run against men.

“By my nomination I do not fight against men, it is an important goal that I strive for. I hope I will be the first woman council member  in our community but not the last”, – she said.
