Exclusive videos about Genocide survivors: the US Library of Congress
Exclusive videos about the Armenian Genocide survivors were found at the US Library of Congress. They depict how the Armenian refugees and orphans leave Turkey on boats. The videos are unique, because in the past it was considered that the Armenians fleeing the Genocide were only depicted in photos. Thus, the videos found at Library of Congress are the first footage depicting the Armenians during Genocide years. The videos were established and recovered by the experts and will be showcased during Bologna- 29th film festival Il cinema ritrovato (Restored films) with general heading «Armenia – the cradle of humanity» held these days in Italy.
