Ani Gevorgyan: “Admiting or fighting? I have always chosen the second option”
Photojournalist and activist Ani Gevorgyan is the youngest female representative of the opposition. Since 2008, with her two brothers Areg an d Sargis she has been participating in all political and civil actions, which initiated the Armenian National Congress Party. She’s not only representative of the political force, but also struggle documentary. As a journalist she has covered the electoral processes, on the basis of the recordings cases have been filed against illegalities in the SIS. Since 2016 Ani Gevorgyan has been a member of the Party.
The National Assembly is a new Chair for Ani Gevorgyan for a direct struggle. To make voice stronger and more audible, the opportunity to present problems facing face to face with the audience. Logical continuation of the civil-social activity someday brings to this stage of political struggle.
She says there is no difference for her to take part in the campaign as a candidate, or as an ordinary party member who is willing to help party members. In both cases, no effort is spared. Ani’s road leading to Parliament is accompanied by a sense of responsibility and a desire to have more leverage for change implementation.
