Aghunik Hazryan: “It will be difficult struggle, but I will fight until the end”

WomenNet.am had an Interview with the candidate for the  Amasia community leader Aghunik Hazryan.

In Amasia at this time the election to be held on October 2d will be held in a consolidated way. The community is enlarged combining 9 communities, including Aregnadem, which is already 11 years in a row  headed by one of the two female villages mayors of Shirak region – Aghunik Hazryan.

Aghunik Hazryan’s family was among the first to settle in Aregnadem village of Amasia after the earthquake.

“There have been opportunities to live in Yerevan or in any other place, but we decided to stay here with my husband. The first Armenian child that was born in this village was my firstborn son Andranik. I love my village and I had regretted that the community was not progressing and what was being destroyed day by day. I decided to become the head of the village and contribute to its progress “.

The mayor had to cope with a lot of things during these years. And she had the personal success, thanks to the mayor’s persistence the village also had achievements.
