“One step closer to equality …” / updated

“Equal” photo exhibition opened at the National Assembly

The photo exhibition opened at the conference hall adjacent to the the National Assembly,  title of which is “equal:  for equal rights and opportunities for men and women. ”

The exhibition is together with women and men politicians aimed at raising the issue of expanding political participation and talk about steps which will contribute to increasing women’s representation in the legislature. The opening of the exhibition coincided with the adoption of the second reading of the draft Electoral Code in the parliament. Let’s note that the draft intends the proportion of 25/75 which  is fixed for  the upcoming parliamentary elections, and 30/70  – for the proportion of the sexes in party lists, for the elections 2022. Of course, it is far from equality however, as said MPs, participating in the exhibition, it is a step forward towards equality.
