«Discrimination does not work» Job fair for people with disabilities launched one-month campaign

In Armenia 90% of officially registered 200 000 people with disabilities are unemployed. Yesterday regular job fair for people with disabilities was held at Congress Hotel. It is already the fourth within the framework of the program LIFE which has been implemented since 2012 and is called to promote creation of equal conditions of employment for people with disabilities and ensure their access to employment as a fundamental human right.

The fair was organized by Unison NGO and the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs Employment State Agency. According to the Manager of LIFE project Jina Sargizova, this year the fair, in fact, announced the launch of the campaign entitled “Discrimination does not work” conducted by them from November 2 to December 3 throughout the country which aims to promote employment of people with disabilities. More than two dozen companies will take part in the campaign which will try to represent rights and opportunities of people with disabilities.
