“They used to ask me often if I was not afraid of having so many children: but why should I fear”?

 

“The decline in the birth rate, emigration and poor socio-economic condition can be fatal for our country. Only this fact should force our government to adopt a law encouraging families to have many children in order to get rid of the threat of demographic crisis”, – says Nune Gevorkyan, a mother of 6 children.

 

23 years before the birth of first child, George filled lives of the young couple with light and warmth. The following year their daughter was born, in 2001 – Elin. Well. It could be considered a large family, and three children would be quite enough, especially in their case when  the living conditions were poor. But th couple were convinced that their family could not be considered complete without Ani, Derenik and especially small Arevik, whose birth truly was like the sun warms the hearth. Her mother-in-law shares family burden with young parents whose love and generosity strengthens the pillars of this great family.

 

The main source of income for the family is salary of her husband, and that of her mother-in-law and father-in-law, and due to the prudent management, such a large family managed to avoid going in many debts. The family is satisfied with discreet and modest lifestyle.
