How are cases of domestic violence “resolved” in Armenia?
Recently, we have written the history of a family living in the village Gandzak of Gavar. The young woman told us that 13 years long she had been subjected to physical and psychological violence by her husband and his family members, showed photos where fresh traces of violence were obvious. Violence was present in this family from the first day of their marriage but she had tolerated it for years, sometimes called police, but continued to live with an abusive husband for the sake of the children.
